“Make daily writing a priority, and don’t let anyone steal those hours from you. This isn’t easy. Let your family and friends know that you will be WORKING during that allotted time. Throw a boot at them if they interrupt. If you can carve out time to write during November, one of the busiest months, you can do it the rest of the year.”

“Write wherever and whenever you can. Google Docs is a great way to be able to add to your pieces when you are out and on the go. It’s always easy to go back and cut and paste things into a piece later. Just get it out! Keeping a notebook by my bed helps me jot down ideas that come to mind so I don’t lose them overnight. Don’t wait for the perfect moment, just write!”
